Self Care Made Simple.
This May, we reached out to some of his good friends in the Philippines to see how Rooted could help.  Kring and Ramon Leaño are a powerhouse couple with a beautiful family. They have dedicated years of their life to serving the LORD and those in need in their community ever since their own life was transformed through a real encounter with Jesus. This month Rooted For Good is honored to be able to bless this beautiful family in assisting with the medical care of their daughter Aiya. Â
Kring describes Aiya a "sweet, sassy, funny girl who loves dresses and thinks she is a princess." Sadly since she was born, Aiya has had a number of health problems including severe constipation which lead to many gastrointestinal issues and lots of pain. She has lived her life in and out of the hospital with many medical needs.  In 2020, after almost a year of treatment, Aiya was able to overcome her gastrointestinal illness and her gastrointestinal tract has become healthy again. Unfortunately, throughout the process of treating her gastrointestinal issues, doctors discovered a cyst on her kidney.Â
While the Leaño family has been praising God for her gastrointestinal health, the cyst on her kidney still worries them. Not only was it worrisome, but Aiya suffered from recurring pain and urinary tract infections because of her unhealthy kidney. Once again the Leaño family found themselves in and out of the hospital and relying on God's provision.
When Rooted reached out this month in order to help, Kring shared the last time they were able to visit the doctor was in 2020 just before the Philippines went into a lock down due to Covid.  At that time, Aiya had gotten a CT Scan to see if surgery on her kidney would be an option for her or if there were any other non-surgical options. Sadly, because of the lockdown they were unable to return to the doctor to follow up on the results and options for Aiya.Â
Trusting in God, the Leano family didn't give up hope and now that the Philippines has loosened their Covid restrictions, Aiya's parents know the time has come for them to fly to the city where her CT Scan was done to get some answers.  Their hope is for Aiya to live a normal and healthy childhood.  The faith of the Leaños is beautiful to behold: "We have relied on God's providence in all of Aiya’s health problems. We’ve offered her sicknesses and all at the foot of the cross at all times and we know God is in control."
This is where you come in! Our Rooted For Good community has the opportunity to help Aiya and her family fly to the hospital where she can seek answers to her kidney issue. We hope to be able to assist them with medical bills and give Aiya the chance to be a healthy little girl.
We can't do it on our own and we rely on your word of mouth to share about our mission with a friend, coworker or someone at church! When you do, 10% of those sales this month will provide for Aiya's medical care. You can also add a monetary "gift" during checkout to support the Leaño family.
Thank you for your support!
