Product Information - Usage

How do I use your products?

Are your products safe for sensitive skin?

Our products are crafted to work with all skin-types, especially sensitive skin. We aim to provide quality skincare products using only all natural ingredients that are non-irritating, detergent-free, and free from all dyes, fragrance, and harsh chemicals.

We recommend that you select our sensitive skin blend for the Revive Face Wash and perform an underarm patch test with the Rewind Serum prior to using it on your face as it has a high quantity of essential oils.

That being said, if you have reacted negatively to essential oils in the past our products may not be a good fit for you.

Can I try before I buy?

We don't offer free samples, but we do sell a travel size kit that is a perfect way to try our products before investing in the Basic or Premium Bundle!

How should I store my Renew Cream?

Our Renew Cream is handcrafted without water, preservatives or stabilizers, which means only nutrient-rich ingredients nourish your skin! It also means that in extreme temperatures your Renew Cream may melt or freeze. To avoid this keep your Renew Cream stored at room temperature away from direct sunlight or heat to maintain creamy consistency. 


Are your products safe to use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Congratulations, what a blessing!! During this special time we know you want to do what is best for your baby and for your body. While we handcraft our products and only use all natural ingredients and pure therapeutic grade essential oils formulated in ideal quantities for pregnant women, we recommend you consult with your doctor before using any new skin care products. We are not medical professionals and are unable to give you medical advice :)

How are your products different from other products I've tried?

  • All of our products are hand made in small batches (without any preservatives) with only all natural ingredients that are actually good for you. Our products do not contain skin-harming detergents, chemicals or artificial fragrances.
  • Rooted products are all made with pure therapeutic grade essential oils that deliver wonderful skin results and also have the added benefit of an aromatherapy experience while you use them!

Do your products contain preservatives, parabens, or formaldehyde? Are your products tested on animals?

Are your products gluten free?

Yes. We never use ingredients that contain gluten.

Are your products vegan?

All our products are vegan with exception to our Renew Cream which contains beeswax.

Do all your products contain essential oils?

Yes, all of our products contain pure therapeutic grade essential oils. Each Rooted product has a different amount of essential oils formulated into the recipe. For example our Rewind & Relief Serum contain the highest quantity of essential oils per milliliter but are still crafted & sold pre-diluted so they are ready to use! 

Are your products 100% Organic?

Nope. Our products contain natural and organic ingredients but we are not a certified organic company. We purchase ingredients of the highest quality from trusted suppliers. 

If these are all natural products do they expire?

We advise using all of our Rooted skincare products (excluding our undiluted bottle essential oils) within 12 months of opening!

Do any of your products contain sunscreen?

Currently we do not hand craft products with sunscreen. As soon as we begin making them we will let our email subscribers be the first to know about it :)

Do any of your facial skincare products contain coconut oil?

All of our facial products are coconut oil free except for our Revive Face Wash base. It contains a very small amount of coconut oil. If you have a coconut oil sensitivity, you may want to avoid our Revitalize Sugar Scrub which contains a generous amount of organic coconut oil.

Where do you source your essential oils?

As a producer of a variety of premium grade all natural products, Rooted for Good is able to leverage our wholesale relationship with some of the largest distributors of essential oils in the world in order to provide you, our customers, with the highest quality essential oils on the market at affordable prices. Our vendors are committed to sourcing the finest quality ingredients from ethical producers across the globe. Rooted For Good essential oils are tested and certified for 100% purity. As a result you are able to buy the same amazing essential oils through Rooted, without having to pay for the big brand names or a multi-level marketing sales approach. One thing we really take pride in is that our wholesale distributors do not push, promote or sell oils with the intention of any new age practices. We offer basic single oils and blends that are comparable with other well known brands but without hidden agendas.

How can I find out about the uses of your essential oils?

Here’s an example from our Frankincense oil product page:

  • We are pleased to provide you with 100% Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils to be enjoyed topically or aromatically! Same quality as other brands, but at more affordable prices. We give 10% of all our sales to good works that uplift humanity! 
  • Botanical Name: Boswellia Serrata
  • Plant Part: Resin
  • Extraction Method: Steam Distilled
  • Origin: India
  • Aromatic Scent: Frankincense Essential Oil has a rich woody, earthy scent
  • Blends Well With: Sweet Orange, Lavender, Bergamot, Cypress
  • Topical use: Apply two to four drops directly to desired areas. Dilution not required, except for the most sensitive of skin. (Always dilute when applying to children.) Use as needed.
  • Aromatic: Diffuse 4-5 drops up to 1 hour 3 times daily. We recommend diffusing Frankincense Essential Oil in a diffuser for a refreshing aroma with the added benefits of cleansing the air from bacteria and viruses.
  • For your safety, please become familiar with essential oils and how to use them as they are very powerful. Please take precautions and be sure to learn and use proper dilution rates.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

All Sales are Final. Refunds are available at our discretion in certain cases of damaged goods at the time of delivery. Photographic evidence may be requested prior to issuing of refund. In some cases, return of original purchase may be requested prior to refund. Any request for refund or exchange made after 30 days, will not be entertained even in cases of damaged products on delivery. Moreover, all our ingredients for our products are listed with the product, any adverse reaction to any ingredient or combination of ingredients will not be grounds for a refund. 

Our products are sold as is, and sight unseen, buyer accepts these conditions at time of purchase.

In order to complete your return or refund, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

In certain cases, only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)

* Such as any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons unrelated to an error in production or fulfillment.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a month from receipt of return.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at rootedforgoodskincare@gmail.com and send your item to: 12640 Everglade Road, Abbeville, LA, 70510, United States.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed or emailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he/she will find out about your return.

Shipping

To return your product, you should mail your product to: 12640 Everglade Rd., Abbeville, LA 70510 United States.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

My product arrived damaged, what do I do?

My skin reacted to my products, can I return it?

All ingredient information is available on each product page for your convenience. It is the responsibility of you (the consumer) to read the ingredients of each product before purchasing and determining if the product is right for you. Allergies to our products are not common. If you have been using a skincare line that contains synthetic ingredients before switching to our natural products, you may experience a ‘transition period’ in which the skin releases impurities that have built up from the use of these ingredients over time. Returns will not be issued because of adverse reactions. 

I am not pleased with the scent of my product, can I return it?

We dilute and handcraft our skincare with the goal of results and safe essential oil usage. Some customers may find they want a stronger essential oil scent, while we understand this desire it is not something we are able to offer at this time. All ingredient information is available on each product page for your convenience. It is the responsibility of you (the consumer) to read the ingredients of each product before purchasing and determining if the product is right for you. We are not able to offer a return for this reason. 

Shipping

How many days does it take to fulfill the products before you ship them?

All our products are handcrafted in small batches. It takes us 1 to 3 business days to create and fulfill orders before they are shipped!

Do you have a pickup option for local customers?

We sell at our local Farmer’s Markets - please message us through our website and we will give you a promo code to save on shipping. Your order will need to be picked up at the Farmer’s Market during the 8-12 time frame. We will not be able to hold orders beyond that time frame!

Where is my package?

Thank you for your patience and supporting small businesses.

  1. Shipping: We ship all our items using USPS or UPS. If you are in need of one of your products ASAP, then we suggest you choose the upgraded shipping options.
  2. Pre-Order items: If a product you purchased is purchased as a pre-order item, we will ship your item as soon as it is restocked!
  3. Delayed Package: After a package has left our facility, we are no longer responsible for the package. We encourage you to purchase the optional shipping insurance if you are concerned at all about your package going missing. Please contact your local USPS office for more information: 1 (800) 275-8777.
  4. Tracking says it's been delivered: It's common for carriers to scan a package as delivered before they actually deliver it. Give it 2 days or so to show up in your mailbox before contacting USPS. If 2-3 days have passed and you still haven't received your package, here's a tip that we've found works best: print out the tracking information, write a note to your local carrier and stick it in your mailbox. Let your carrier know you haven't received the package. This usually works better than calling customer service. If this doesn't work or you still haven't received your package, please contact your local USPS office for more information: 1 (800) 275-8777.

Can I track the shipping of my products?

When your products are shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email.  It will have a specific tracking number for your package.  

My package has not arrived, what do I do?

After a package has left our facility, we are no longer responsible for the package. We encourage you to purchase the optional shipping insurance if you are concerned at all about your package going missing. Please contact your local USPS office for more information: 1 (800) 275-8777.
